A Cowboy's Breakfast

I got the fear about my book and my photography and my entire life this morning when I arrived at the gallery to prepare for my show. I feel so exposed! "Art" seemed much more enjoyable when it involved sitting behind a computer screen eating Fruit Corners all day and blogging.

"I don't want to do this anymore," I said to my American friend David, who had come along with his laser-beam spirit-level to help me hang the prints on the walls.

"Yeah, you do," said David, pulling a pouch of tobacco out of his back pocket and rolling a cigarette. "You just need a cowboy's breakfast, that's all."

"What's that?"

"A smoke and a look around."

  7. A cowboy's breakfast ? Not to be confused with a Tinker's Breakfast - A scratch, a piss and a look around.

(that one is from the Irish midlands circa the mid-Seventies)

Best of luck with the exhibition,

    /John

  8. I think the gallery will provide red dots, no?

My mother learned to roll rolies one handed, like all good cowgirls should.

Rescue remedy! Stick 15 drops in some water and sip from now til then.

It's going to be so nice, Annie. Really, really lovely.

I am sure you will come across as suberbly arty and talented even without the Fruit Corners! I wish I could be there though, why is there no life internet broadcasting from this event for Annie's worldwide fanbase? :)

Good luck and enjoy your evening to the max girl! :)

it'll be great annie - the photos are beautiful and you can stand there one-handedly rolling smokes to cheer the crowd on, with all their red dots.

Or if you're really pressed for time you could have a Soldier's Supper. Same as the Tinker's Breakfast, but without the scratching. And in the evening.
