Voilà!
Spring is in the air in Flanders; in our hearts and in our underwear and in the bar I'm working in, too.
"Voilà!" I like to say, when I bring the customers their drinks. Then I whip the cloth off the tray just like a magician would do: Voilà! Here are your drinks! You gave me money and I turned it into beer — it's like alchemy, non? What a wonderful life!

What's the Flemish for 'Voila'? I like to think it's something potentially embarrassing, that sounds like 'Wank' or 'Cock' if you don't pronounce it just right.
They just say 'voila' like the French. Also they say 'merci' sometimes too. But everything else is strictly NOT in French, alright.
Ahhhh.
Some of my happiest jobs were working in bars, everyone is (mostly) always in a good mood and happy to see you.
We don't get any magic with our beer. I'm jealous.

I like your blog - I'll try to remember your tips re statcounters and short posts. How do you know when you're addicted to the statcounter, though? What counts as excessive checking? 10 times a day? 20 times a day?
