That road's midey quiet. I thought American freeways were always jammed with rednecks honking and hooting and yelling at other drivers to get off the f***ing highway. So maybe it was early in the morning?
ReplyDeleteI hope Dallas is as great for you as everywhere else has been, though I feel that I should warn you that I think it's the worst city I've ever been to. That said, one of my favorite people in the whole world lives there, so if you need anything--couch, whatever--while you're there, let me know and I bet I can make it happen.
ReplyDeleteMurphy Street!? Get outta heah!!
ReplyDeleteOk, we need pictures of the Grassy Knoll please, and a fresh conspiracy theory.
A friend once told me that cars on freeways drive along leaving enough space for vehicles involved in a high speed chase to swerve from lane to lane without hitting anyone. The movies back this up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer, Krista... I'm only here one night though, picking up a train to Austin as soon as I can.
ReplyDeleteThe roads are so big and there are so many of them that I can't see how they can be anything but empty. This was taken around 4pm I guess.
Another amazing shot Annie!
ReplyDeleteI love the sky. So dark and brooding, hopefully not symbolic of your visit!
CD's right, pictures of the Grassy Knoll please.

Your adventures in America make me smile and want to hug you every time I read this lovely blog. Don't forget to come back and tell us all about 'em over a West Coast Cooler or two (you can keep your coat on too!). xx
ReplyDeleteFiona... it's a date.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this 'grassy knoll' that everyone keeps talking about?
Austin is supposed to be absolutely great, so that sounds like s swell plan to me.
