I'll be finishing my Masters degree at the end of this month — essays to write and an exam to revise for — which is why I spent the entire afternoon changing the colour of my blog.
I dunno, that blue was just so blonky, somehow. I know I should be studying, but I really wasn't able to get started until my blog looked less like a blog and more like... a box of chocolates.
God, I'm not even sure if I like it.

Oooh, me like.
ReplyDeleteNow go study!
Reason Number 89,755,698 why Annie Rhiannon rocks:
ReplyDelete"I dunno, that blue was just so blonky, somehow. I know I should be studying, but I really wasn't able to get started until my blog looked less like a blog and more like... a box of chocolates."
It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I have my last two final exams tomorrow, which is why I have a spotless oven, a clean bathroom, and an organized closet!
Good luck on the essays.
Thankees.
ReplyDeleteI also cleaned my apartment today. I even swept the bathroom floor, and did the washing. And I did it all huffing and tutting and stepping over Bjarni who spent the day writing code — so that when it came to change the colour of my blog he felt obliged to lend a hand.
I personally think it's very classy, but the new IKEA commercial keeps sneering at us to 'be brave not beige'
ReplyDeleteIt's SWEET!
ReplyDeleteI hear you Annie. In three hours I'm taking my last exam (I'm not counting the Masters one which is in June) and I decided to sabotage it. First I went shoe shopping and then thought I was getting down with a flu so I took some medicine which made me too sleepy to even brush the teeth. I had to wake up at 5 today to get at least semi-prepared.
ReplyDeleteI like the color:)
it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSorry Annie, the new header looked so deliciously chocolatey I've eaten it all up and there's a big space where it used to be. Can you send me another?
ReplyDeletealthough the wallpaper now looks even more like your sat in an Indian restaurant.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice. I guess I really do just read it for the articles. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat took you an entire afternoon??
ReplyDelete[sorry]
I appreciate your efforts, but I like the blue better ...
[sorry again]
And yes, as a matter of fact I was just leaving.
Yes, it took me all afternoon! Do you know how many colours I had to go through before I settled on Indian Restaurant Gold?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to change it again soon though. Next time I settle down to some more studying, probably.
You are so funny Annie...
ReplyDeleteProcrastination is an art form in itself, so you should not feel bad when you overhaul your blonk and apartment when you should be studying - you should feel proud that you are further exploring your abilities to procrastinate in a productive way :)
Rock on girl - I miss you.
Come back home. Come to Iceland 'cause it's a Niceland.
Good luck with the last bits of yoru Masters...you'll do beautifully I'm sure and be (more) famous before we all know it.
XX Birna
I liked the blue, but this is very cool too- very sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteTakk saeta... I miss you too. I'll be back in August.
ReplyDeleteThe color makes me think of Wedgewood china... which is odd since its usually that sickening blue color.
ReplyDeleteNevermind- it looks trés classy and good job on the procrastinating. I'm doing a bit of that myself ... since I'm at work and should probably be doing something other than reading blogs.
right.
back to the grindstone
not bad at all! My kind of blonk.
