Having been declared a "lying bastard" over at Oshiblog (we grew up together, he can call me anything he likes) I feel a need to defend myself.
Yes I hate Big Brother! I hate it I hate it I hate it. What I don't understand is why anybody would even consider applying for it. I mean, if you really feel a need to spill your guts out, demonstrate all your character flaws, and totally humiliate yourself in front of potentially millions of viewers, why not just get a blog?

While I am too aware of my insecurities to want to display them to all and sundry, the fun for me comes in the viewing. Can you honestly admit to not being interested in the outcome of placing 14 very different personalities in the one space?
ReplyDeleteIt's people-watching on a larger scale and that is a favourite pastime. Do you really hate it, Annie?
Do you even get Channel 4 in Iceland?
No we don't, and nobody here knows what it is. But I'm preparing myself: I'll be in London from Wednesday onwards for a month.
ReplyDeleteYou are going to entertain me, and not stay in in front of the TV all the time?
Hmm. I liked the first couple of series, but then I lost interest. And now I hate the idea of it but am quite worried about getting sucked into it seems there's some guy from Blaenau Ffestiniog on it this year.
Indeed there is but once I got over the initial affinity there's nothing to the Blaenau boy. Far more delightful is Pete, who has Tourette's and hails from Brighton, which instantly makes him interesting.
ReplyDeleteWednesday is but two sleeps away - are you prepared? Don't worry, I can take time out from reality TV to spend quality time with my old fellow country bumpkin.
No I'm not prepared at all. I should really be sorting out my workload but I keep blogging by mistake.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Wales for the weekend but I'll be back in London on Monday. Mary and Bruce are throwing a party on Saturday at Slodge. Would you like to come?
I'm afraid I'll have to pass as I have more birthday celebrations and a second job to tend to this weekend. You'll have to come over for your tea soon though.
ReplyDeleteGive my love to all at Slodge. Especially Big Tall Ben!
